Coilmaster Warranty, Disclaimer & Storage and Handling for HVAC Coils and Heat Pipes
All HVAC coils, heat pipes, and related products (“Products”) manufactured and supplied by Coilmaster Corporation (“Coilmaster”) must be stored in accordance with the requirements set forth below. Subject to the limitations and exclusions set forth herein, Coilmaster warrants that, at the time of shipment, the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of shipment (the “Warranty Period”). Failure to comply with the following requirements may result in product degradation, corrosion, reduced performance, or structural damage, and will void applicable warranties.
Long‑Term Storage Conditions
For long‑term storage, Products shall be stored indoors only in a clean, dry, temperature‑controlled environment. Storage areas must be protected from moisture, weather exposure, and environmental contaminants to prevent corrosion, including but not limited to formicary corrosion. Outdoor storage or exposure to uncontrolled environments is expressly prohibited.
Products shall be placed on a flat, stable, and clean surface and adequately supported to prevent deformation, vibration, or mechanical stress. Moisture infiltration, condensation, or prolonged exposure to elevated humidity levels may accelerate corrosion and degrade product integrity. Stored Products must be protected from exposure to corrosive or contaminating substances, including but not limited to:
- Chlorine or chlorine‑based compounds
- Cleaning agents or solvents
- Fermenting yeast or organic vapors
- Industrial chemicals, fumes, or airborne contaminants
The storage environment shall be free from Volatile Organic Compounds (“VOCs”) and other substances known to accelerate corrosion or a chemical attack of metals.
Customer is responsible for periodic inspection of stored Products. Inspections should check for signs of rust, corrosion, moisture damage, contamination, or physical damage. Any deterioration identified during storage must be addressed immediately to prevent further damage. Customer must provide Coilmaster with written notice of any alleged defect within thirty (30) days of discovery and allow Coilmaster an opportunity to inspect the affected Products. Failure to provide timely notice or access shall void the warranty.
Where coils or heat pipes are stored as part of a larger assembled unit, the unit must be stored in a dry, ventilated indoor location, and protected from vibration, impact, and environmental exposure. Adequate airflow shall be maintained to prevent condensation buildup.
Warranty Exclusions; Installation and Environmental Conditions
This warranty does not apply to damage or failure resulting from improper storage, handling, installation, operation, maintenance, system design, environmental conditions, or use outside of Coilmaster’s specifications. Coilmaster makes no warranty regarding installation, system integration, operating conditions, or compatibility with any particular application. Customer is solely responsible for proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the Products.
This warranty further excludes corrosion, degradation, or failure caused by chemical exposure, airborne contaminants, humidity, salt air, VOCs, or other environmental conditions, whether occurring before or after installation.
Limitation of Liability: Coilmaster shall not be responsible for damage, defect, corrosion, loss of performance, or failure of Products resulting from improper storage, improper handling, environmental exposure occurring after shipment from Coilmaster’s facility, or Customer’s misuse or neglect. Customer’s compliance with the storage requirements set forth herein is a condition of all applicable Coilmaster warranties.
IN NO EVENT SHALL COILMASTER BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF EFFICIENCY, OR SYSTEM DOWNTIME, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN, COILMASTER DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT.
No employee, distributor, or representative of Coilmaster is authorized to modify or extend this warranty unless in a writing signed by an authorized officer of Coilmaster. This document is subject to Coilmaster’s standard Terms and Conditions of Sale, which shall control in the event of any conflict.
